Hi Everyone..
Have any of you been on a cruise? Me and my husband (chris) are off on tuesday for a week round the med! So excited but hoping it wont be too tiring as I want him to have a brilliant time without worrying too much about how im feeling.. Its the first time we have been away together without the kids and i cant wait! Have had the all clear to leave the dreaded methotrexate inj off for the week im away so fingers crossed! Smile

LOVE cruises Wub

Where abouts are you going around the Med?

One thing I would definitely say is anti sickness tablets... always handy for your first cruise but also if you spend a day sailing and hit rough waters you can feel a bit queasy.

A good book for the days when you don't feel like doing a lot and want to sit out on deck.. also don't forget a jumper/cardigan/shawl. While you're on the ship and 'inside' it can be a bit nippy.

Not sure what cruise line you're going on, but sometimes the staff on board like tips... the FAQ's on the cruise website will tell you if tipping is expected.

While the cruise is a time for relaxation (make sure you take swimsuit) there are sometimes also opportunities for a dinner or show so its nice to dress up. The cruise we went on had a photographer and you can buy a pictures of you all glammed up

Wishing you a fab time! Very *jealous*!

Hi Ceri

The methotrexate stays in your system forever and a day (well certainly a good few weeks at least!) so you can uncross your fingers before they become stiffRollEyes Hope you have a lovely time and enjoy! Smile

hi Cerri,

just popping in to say hope you have a wonderful time ... am sure you'll be fine as Cruises are so well equipped today.

i haven't been on one, Hubby is keen and talking about maybe doing one for his 60th Birthday which is 2 years away ... maybe i will muster up the courage by then as i always holiday on our shores.
